It was our great pleasure to host the 9th Polish Evolutionary Conference in Kraków, Poland, on September 18-20, 2023. Thank you for your contribution in the discussion on evolutionary topics. See you in Białystok at the 10th PEC!

Certificates of attendance certificates have been sent by e-mail. If you haven't received it, please check your spam folder.

We’ll create an online Conference Photoalbum with the photos taken by our photographer, Maëlle Lefeuvre, and with photos you’ll send us. If you want to share your photos, please upload them to a cloud of your choice (such as GoogleDrive,  OneDrive, iCloud) and send me the download link to pec2023@uj.edu.pl. Please don’t send us the photos as email attachments. Please send us your download links by 15.10.2023.

News & deadlines

The conference was organised by the Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Jagiellonian University and the Committee of Environmental and Evolutionary Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The meeting took place on September 18-20 2023 at the Faculty of Biology of the Jagiellonian University at Gronostajowa 7 in Kraków.

• During the opening ceremony of the conference, the Committee of Environmental and Evolutionary Biology of PAS will award the Ludwik Tomiałojć Medal. The Medal was established this year and is awarded to people who have made an outstanding contribution to nature research and conservation in Poland.
  
  This year the Medal is awadred to Mr Paweł Pawlaczyk from the Naturalists Club Poland
