Abstract submission upon registration
Your basic registration fee for the PEC includes:
- Admission to all scientific lectures and poster sessions;
- Digital conference programme book and digital copy of abstract book;
- Access to the industry exhibition;
- All refreshments and lunch during the Conference; All of them will be vegetarian.
- Thanks to the sponsorship of Ursa Maior, there will be free beer for participants during poster session.
Your full registration fee includes the Gala Dinner in Nature Education Center of Jagiellonian University in addition to basic registration fee. It is also possible to purchase a ticket for one accompanying person to the Gala Dinner for 250 PLN.

Abstract submission
• The deadline for abstract submissions is Friday 16 June 2023.
• Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the online submission system. To be able to submit the abstract you need to register first.
• A preferred presentation mode should be selected during the submission from the following options: Oral or Poster. We encourage the poster presenters to introduce a poster presentation with a “1 Minute Pitch” in the last session before the poster session.
• When submitting your abstract, you must select the most appropriate session/topic for your abstract from the Conference sessions.
• The submitted abstract will be revised up until June 30, 2023. Accepted abstracts will be allocated to an oral or poster session, depending on the author's preference and the final meeting schedule.
• Accepted abstracts will be published on the website in online Book of abstracts.
• All presenting authors will receive an acceptance/rejection notification via e-mail.
• All presenting authors are required to register for the Meeting and pay the registration fee.
Abstract Formatting Guidelines
• All abstracts must be written in English.
• The abstract title is limited to 250 characters.
• The maximum abstract length is 250 words.
• No tables or graphics can be submitted.
• Abstracts cannot contain a list of references.
Information about the poster and oral presentations:
Poster Presentation Guidelines:
• All posters must be prepared in English.
• Poster boards will accommodate A0 size posters in portrait (vertical) format. Please ensure that your display will fit within these parameters.
• Each poster presenter is encouraged to introduce a poster presentation with a “1 Minute Pitch” in the last session before the poster session. Please bring your presentation file (in .ppt, .pptx or pdf file.) written on a USB flash drive to the technicians in the presentation room preferably in the morning before the beginning of the conference day starts.
Oral Presentation Guidelines
• Speakers and session chairs are kindly requested to keep the time of the presentations. The slot for one talk should last no longer than 15 minutes (preferably 12 min of presentation +3 min for discussion). If the presentation extends beyond the allowed time, the organizers reserve the right to interrupt it.
• Please bring your presentation file written on a USB flash drive.
• Presenters are kindly requested to give their presentation file to the technicians in the presentation room preferably in the morning before the beginning of the conference day starts.
• The name of the file should start with an hour and then follow with the name of the presenter.
• Please prepare your presentation in .ppt, .pptx (Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003-2017 format) or pdf file.
• If you have a video in your presentation, please contact the technician in the lecture hall at the latest in the break before your presentation (but preferably earlier) to test it in advance.
• Presentations will be removed from the presentation computer hard drive at the end of each session.
• There will be no option of using your own laptop.
