Best Presentation Awards

Thanks to our Sponsors, we are happy to offer Best Presentation Awards for the best talk and poster presentations during the PEC.

Who can apply?

Eligible students are B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD students, who register for the Conference with an abstract for an oral presentation or poster. Please note that participation in the one-minute presentation is the condition for taking part in the competition for the best poster presentationApplicants must check a box during abstract submission indicating their interest in the Award.

What is the deadline for applications?

Same as the Late Registration deadline, i.e. 31st July  2023.

How to apply?

If you wish to be considered for the Award you must indicate this while registering for the Conference in the Registration Platform.

How many awards will be granted?

We are planning to grant a total of two awards: one for the best oral presentation and one for the best poster, each in the field of Evolution.

How will the ranking list be constructed?

Candidates will be evaluated by members of the Scientific Committee of PEC. The ranking list will be based on the originality and quality of the presented work, talk structure or poster design, aesthetics, as well as on the communicative skills of the presenter and the ability to answer questions.

How will the awards be celebrated?

Awards will be given at a ceremony held at the end of the Conference.
